Hey sports fans, thank you for making the 9th annual LA Sports Fans Choice a huge success!

LA's sports star and on screen celebrities turned out for a fantastic evening of laughs and anticipation.

We recognized former Clippers star Cuttino Mobley with a special "city-wide recognition" award acknowledging his contribution to the NBA and his strong commitment here in Southern California to the Clippers.

The 2008 Commitment to Excellence Award was presented to Ducks super-star Jean-Sebastien Giguere.

Robert Horry was also honored for all the excitement he has brought to the courts in LA.

The voting was fierce, but your 2008 Rising Star honors went to Al Thornton of the Clippers and the MVP Award was presented to Kobe Bryant of the Lakers.

This year we also honored those past and current players who go above and beyond - when it comes to lending a hand to those in need. The Hometown Heroes honored this year for their dedication and work in the community included: Ervin Santana (Angels), Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Dustin Brown (Kings), Norm Nixon (Lakers Alum) and AC Green (Lakers Alum).
